Your responsibilities as tenants and residents:

You are responsible for any repair required because of neglect or damage caused by you, another person living with you or your visitors including a repair the JMB would usually be responsible for. This includes accidental damage and any alterations you have made.

If we have to carry out emergency repairs which are your responsibility you will be “recharged”.

As a tenant you must take reasonable steps to prevent repairs from being necessary.
If a rechargeable repair is required we ask you to pay for the repair in advance, then arrange a reasonable time frame for the repair to be carried out.
If you unable to pay for the repair in advance we will agree costs first then ask you to pay a 10% deposit and sign an agreement to pay the remaining cost depending on the nature and priority of the repair before the repair commences.

If you have any questions about a problem in your home contact the JMB office or e-mail repairs@leathermarketjmb.org.uk, if the problem is not urgent.
