Leathermarket JMB is a resident-managed housing organisation, working in partnership with Southwark Council, which manages 1,600 properties of mixed tenure immediately south of London Bridge station. We have created a new professional post within our repairs department to ensure we continue to deliver a service that our residents deserve.
The postholder will be responsible for the Leathermarket JMB’s day to day repairs, with a focus on electrical estate works, accompanied by experience of diagnosing complex repairs, PAT testing and routine wiring. As the lead qualified electrician for the JMB, the candidate will be expected to undertake general housing maintenance as part of the role as well aid in the overall development of Repair Assistants, whilst working as part of the DLO Team reporting daily to the Repairs Delivery Manager.
Requirements for this role: – Full clean driving license – At least 4 years’ experience in the field – including use of materials and how to operate relevant electrical products/tools -City & Guilds IEE 18th Edition (minimum IEE 17th edition, but looking to complete new qualification) – Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical services or equivalent qualification – Working knowledge of domestic housing properties, Voids and estate lighting works – Excellent communication and customer service skills – General muti trade skills – Previous housing experience desirable, but not essential – IT literate
