Residents should be receiving continuation ballot papers over the weekend. The continuation ballot takes place every 5 years and determines whether management remains with the residents (the JMB) or is handed back to the Council. We are pretty confident the vote will go heavily in favour of the JMB but want to make sure that everyone votes to give our community organisation a huge mandate when negotiating with local and national decision makers.
This year you will be able to vote online as well by post. The main thing is to make sure you vote as soon as you get your ballot paper from the Electoral Reform Society.
There are likely to be tough times ahead for tenants and leaseholders and it is imperative we show that we are a united community when speaking up for the rights of residents.
