JMB Chair John Paul Maytum has been shortlisted as ‘Tenant of the Year’ in the prestigious national TPAS Awards, recognising the work that Leathermarket JMB has done to in developing tenant-led housing.
The TPAS Awards are the major national awards for residents involved in their housing services and the staff and landlords who work with them.
John Paul was nominated for his work in taking forward Leathermarket JMB to be the country’s foremost Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) – securing new powers to improve resident control of their services and changing the law to improve the opportunities for all TMOs across the country.
It also recognises the work being done to secure resident-led development of new council homes in the Leathermarket area through the Leathermarket CBS (Community Benefit Society).
