The directors elected by JMB residents benefit from expert advice, by co-opting people with specialist knowlege on to either the main board or sub-groups. Like other directors and sub-group members these experts give their time for free.
The JMB already benefits from the advice provided by Cormac Hollingsworth, a PhD ecomonist and George Grime, who was a chief housing officer in a neighbouring London borough.
Now the JMB is self-financing the board has targetted the recruitment of experts with experience of major works, contract management and procurement.
The JMB is delighted to announce that Paul Munday is joining the main board. Paul is currently leading Harringey’s programme to build new social housing. He was previously Director of Housing Regeneration in Hackney and Property Services Director for Lambeth.
Michael Adu is joining the Major Works sub-group. Michael has senior procurement experience with the Civil Service, Lambeth and Barnet.
