To All JMB Residents
The Leathermarket JMB would like to wish all of you a happy and safe school holiday period with your children. However, we also want to remind you that the Communal areas, i.e. stairs, landings, and, the grounds of your estate are not play areas. Please ensure your children are supervised at all times and, play in designated play areas only. Here is a selection of local parks for your enjoyment.
Leathermarket Park. SE1. Children’s Play Park. This is situated at the back of our offices.
Guy Street Park. SE1. Football / Basket Ball pitch and small climbing area for children.
Cluny Estate Park, SE1. Children’s Play Park. Opposite Mendham House.
Tanner Street, SE1.
The park also has a number of tennis courts, which are free to use. Coaching is available for children on Saturdays between 10am and 2.45pm, as well as holiday camps during the Summer. St John’s Churchyard. Tower Bridge Road and Tooley Street, SE1.
Virtually opposite Potters Field Park, this park has recently been refurbished with an improved playground for younger children, a mini adventure playground for slightly older children, new seating throughout, some in the shape of letters, and new planting beds.
Falmouth Road SE1.
Located at the New Kent Road end of Falmouth Road, this park has a multi use games area and a children’s playground.
Tabard Street, SE1.
Tabard Gardens is a large local park set within the Tabard Gardens residential estate. The park is much used by local people as a green connecting route. It includes large grassy areas, a wildlife area, children’s play area and multi use sports pitches.
