The London Bridge has evolved over several centuries but the area has probably never seen the pace of development and change as in the last decade.
Since 2006, when the local business community decided to form Team London Bridge, this pace has increased even more dramatically. With the opening of The Shard and with the redevelopment of London Bridge Station gathers momentum, the most striking changes are yet to come.
Team London Bridge have made an arches and tunnels film will give you a flavour of one possible facet of that future. This will particularly affect people nearest the railway, such as on the White’s Grounds Estate and Snowsfields block.
Team London Bridge are now looking at:
- how these recent developments are changing the local area,
- how they are serving the local community
- what the area needs to do to express itself better
It is interesting to note that while the name London Bridge is known around the world, there is no consensus on what and who the area represents, what it has to offer … what more it should offer.
Team London Bridge has newly appointed an internationally experienced team of place branding experts consisting of Placematters, Zulver & Co. and Ideado Consulting to help us and the entire London Bridge community answer these questions.
The project starts on 7th June with an extensive consultation withthe people and businesses who live, work and play here. The consultation will be in the form of individual interviews (face to face and telephone), a short online survey on the TLB website, as well as an online comment board.
Team London Bridge want you can help shape them and determine the experience that London Bridge will mean in the future. Get involved to make sure the future reflects how you want to see the area.
There are four ways that you can participate:
- Complete the online survey
