We are asking residents to help the JMB to keep Symington House as safe as possible by making the most of the block’s CCTV.
The CCTV system covers the whole of the building, including the ground floor lobby, the lifts, the car park and the surrounding area.
The system is back fully working, after problems earlier in the year, and will be upgrading the system over the summer so the pictures can be monitored in the JMB Office.
We need your help
If you see any problems or anti-social behaviour then you need to contact the JMB office as soon as possible. You do not need to give us your name, we just need to know the time and date of the problem so we can find the images on the CCTV system.
If you see a crime happening – such as drug dealing – or think a crime has happened then contact the police immediately. The police are able to respond much more quickly and have the powers to investigate and resolve problems. The Emergency Contacts page has details of emergency phone numbers.
Be careful who you let in
The best way to keep the building safe is to make sure that people causing trouble do not get in. Only let people you know in to the building. Do not let anybody in who is not coming to see you or that you don’t know.
