Ways to pay your rent

We offer a range of ways to make paying your rent as easy as possible. You can pay your rent straight from a bank account, over the counter at a bank, Post Office or Paypoint outlet. You can also pay your rent at home by telephone or using the internet.

Unfortunately you cannot pay your rent at the JMB office.

Paying from your bank account

The easiest way to pay your rent every week is by setting up Standing Order from a bank account. This tells your bank to make a set payment every week to your JMB rent account.

To make this easy for you can get the form to set this up - called a Standing Order Mandate - from the office. All you have to do is fill in your bank details and we can send this form off for you.

If you pay by Standing Order then you need to remember to tell your bank every April that your rent amount has changed, so your bank can adjust the Standing Order amount.

You can also pay your rent using direct debit

Paying at a bank branch

You can pay your rent over the counter at any branch of Lloyds Bank. The nearest branches are at London Bridge and on Southwark Park Road.

If you want to pay at a bank branch, we can give you a book of Bank Giro paying in slips for your rent account. Just ask the JMB office if you want this.

Paying at a Post office or Paypoint

If you want to pay your rent at a Post Office then we can order you a special rent card by asking the JMB office. You will get your card about 4 weeks after you ask the office to get you one.

Once you have your JMB card, you can use this to pay for your rent at any Post Office or Payzone outlet in the UK.After you have ordered one you will receive it within 4 weeks.  Your card can be used at any Post Office and any Paypoint outlet across the UK.  We also offer payment slips that can also be used at any Post Office.
