Vote now on the future of Leathermarket JMB

10 October 2011

This October, all JMB members are given a vote on whether the JMB should continue to run their homes for the next five years. This five-yearly vote is a key part of the law governing how resident-managed housing organisations, such as Leathermarket JMB, operate.Vote Yes logo

JMB Members are those people whose name is on the tenancy agreement or on the lease (if they are a home owner). This includes property companies and other landlords who do not live in their JMB home.

All JMB members should now have received their voting form from the Electoral Reform Society - the independent company that is overseeing the vote. If you haven't received your form contact the JMB office.

It is important that as many people vote in the election as possible to make sure that residents have their voice heard.

Obviously, the JMB believes that it offers a much better option for residents than if the JMB Estates return to being run by Southwark Council. This is what would happen if residents were to vote no to the JMB.
