Home My home Paying your rent

We offer a range of ways to make paying your rent as easy as possible.

The best and easiest way to pay your rent is by direct debit – we prefer you to pay this way as it is easier for both you and us.

When you become a JMB tenant you will automatically receive an Allpay payment card within a few days. The card enables you to pay your rent at the post office and any shop which displays the Paypoint sign.  You can also use your card to pay your rent by telephone or the internet.

Unfortunately you cannot pay your rent at the JMB office.

  • From your bank account
  • Using your Allpay card
  • On the telephone or internet
  • Paying at a bank branch
  • Universal Credit

The easiest way to pay your rent is by setting up a direct debit from a bank account. Payments can then be transferred on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis to your JMB rent account. To set up a direct debit all you have to do is contact the JMB office and ask to speak to your Rent Officer or a member of the Finance Team.

You can also pay your rent using standing order. You will need to complete a mandate form using this link or you can contact the office for a form.

With your Allpay card you can pay at any Post Office or any shop which displays the Paypoint sign. Payments can take up to three days to be credited to your rent account.

If you have a credit or debit card you can pay your rent by phoning 0844 557 8321 or you can go to the Allpay website by clicking here. You will need the details on your Allpay card to make payments.

You can pay your rent over the counter at any branch of Lloyds Bank. The nearest branch is at 69-73 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1NQ.

If you choose this option, due to changes you are no longer able to give a reference number for your payment. Due to this you must now contact your rent officer when you have made payment and send them a copy of your receipt. Please call your rent officer for more information.

If you are in receipt of welfare benefits the way in which you are paid and possibly how much will be changing. Click here for more information.

Don’t forget, however you pay your rent, ALL payments should be made in advance.
