Decima Street Tenants and Residents Association will hold a new Annual General Meeting at 7pm on Monday 30 November at the Decima Street TRA Hall, 7 Decima Street, SE1 4QR.
This event is open to everyone who lives on the Meakin Estate, Elim Estate, Mendham House, Archdale House, Peveril House, Rephidim Street, Bermondsey Street and Decima Street. (If you are not sure which is the TRA for where you live you can check the Which TRA page).
Decima Street TRA needs you to come along and support your tenants association annual general meeting. Otherwise the TRA will lose funding from Southwark Council and be unable to keep doing events and social activities.
In recent years the TRA has got money from Southwark Council's Cleaner, Greener Safer fund to improve the estate.
Decima TRA has lobbied the council and JMB to make sure the 'decent homes' refurbishment work happened.
It has also raised the profile of local issues such as the behaviour of young people associated with Shelbourne House.
Now the TRA needs you, please support them. This is your chance to have your say on who should be JMB directors, officers of the TRA and how the TRA’s money has been spent.
Invited Guests include Local Councillors, Local Police & JMB Officers .
The issues the meeting will discuss will include:
The meeting will also elect the members of the TRA committee for the coming year and will be your chance to decide the two residents that represent you in the running of the JMB as Directors on the JMB Board.
