More than 100 JMB residents came along to a drop-in consultation session to talk to JMB staff and Directors to have their say on the self-financing changes proposed by the JMB and Southwark Council. These accounting changes will change the financial relationship between the Council and the JMB, giving the JMB more control over how money is spent on its estates.
The session at the JMB Office between 3:30pm and 8pm on Thurs 10 January gave residents the chance to discuss the proposals now that the negotiations between the JMB and the Council are almost finalised. The changes are due to come into force with the start of the new financial year on 6 April 2013.
